-Mixson’s new owners, Green Street, were in attendance and their rep, Jodi Mansbach shared with us the new vision of the neighborhood. They have expressed that the current homes will not be duplicated in style. There is a new master plan that will still be an urban community with dense living. There will be a mix of single family, townhomes, condos, rentals and retail space. They will be putting an urban streetscape on Mixson Ave and the neighborhood will also house a pool club. They will be submitting the plan to the city and look forward to begin construction Summer 2012 for some areas to be completed by Spring 2013.
-Maker’s Mart is held at Mixson the 1st Sunday of the Month where you can purchase local crafts and art.
-Sidewalks on Jenkins Ave will be addressed soon.
-Homeowners can still keep their leaves and yard debris in plastic bags as the city has outsourced another company to handle them instead of going to the county landfill.
